Hyper Vision Limited Reveals Their New Augmented Reality Headset

Shenzhen / January 12, 2020 / — Shenzhen-based MedTech startup Hyper Vision Limited has today revealed the prototype of its Hyprvue Headset. The device will undergo various trials before it is deemed ready to be used in the operating theatre. The company hopes this new technology can revolutionize the way surgeries are performed.

The platform incorporates a near-eye display Headset that determines the position of surgical tools in real-time while superimposing a virtual trajectory over the patient’s CT data. The technology projects 3D navigation data onto the surgeon’s retina, allowing them to stare at the patient while viewing navigation data.

Hyper Vision Limited has announced they expect to perform human trials by July this year, with a commercial release by mid-2022. The device is intended to allow surgeons to see a patient’s 3D anatomy during surgery as if they were using “X-ray vision.” The device enables the surgeon to navigate equipment and implants precisely while gazing directly at the patient rather than at a screen.

“Our objective is to provide surgeons greater control by producing technological improvements that adapt to their demands and fit inside their workflow,” Hyper Vision Limited CEO Yan Jiang stated in the announcement.

“Our objective is to provide surgeons greater control by producing technological improvements that adapt to their demands and fit inside their workflow,” Hyper Vision Limited CEO Yan Jiang stated in the announcement.

“Our first of many products that will revolutionize healthcare is the Hyprvue Headset, which provides surgeons with the information they need, directly within their working field of vision, instilling technological confidence in the surgical workflow and assisting them in performing their jobs as effectively and safely as possible.”

“Medical augmented reality is establishing a new standard of care in surgical navigation; we are taking the precision of a huge console navigation system and condensing it into a wearable device for surgeons. We were able to achieve three major benefits as a result of this: we were able to give accuracy, we were able to create something cost-effective, and we were able to create something efficient,” added Qian Wen, Hyper Vision Limited’s Chief Technological Officer.

Hyper Vision Limited believes using augmented reality technology in the Hyprvue Headset will revolutionize modern-day surgical procedures on a global scale. If the trials are successful, it will undoubtedly be a historic breakthrough in the medical world.

Hyper Vision Limited is changing the future of healthcare by utilizing advances in augmented reality and artificial intelligence technology.
